As of May 2011, the College Board no longer deducts points for wrong answers on AP exams. However they continue to deduct a 1/4 of a point for every wrong answer on an SAT. Will this policy change anytime soon? Not likely. Alas, according to the College Board, there is “no immediate plan” to alter the wrong-answer penalty for the SAT.
